Interview with Mr. Eric Hill
¨A fascinating Multicultural Community¨
53 years is a long time to grow deep roots in Cooperstown. Mr. Eric Hill has done just that in our community of Cooperstown.
Mr. Hill was born in Newark, New Jersey. As a boy, Mr. Hill moved about every five years. After graduating from Hobart College, Mr. Hill joined his father's business firm. As a young boy growing in Germany, Mr. Hill’s father had read one of James Fenimore Cooper’s novels and was interested in the area of Cooperstown. Mr. Hill helped his father achieve the goal of owning a business in Cooperstown. For Mr. Hill, this business the first of several businesses on Main Street.
Since his initial move to Cooperstown, Mr. Hill has been very involved in the community. He enjoys being involved in his church, the Cooperstown Food Bank, and currently helps people relocating to Cooperstown as a realtor. Mr. Hill loves Cooperstown because it is a “fascinating multicultural community.”
Mr. Hill’s “Stories Around the Lake” are amazing and his advice is worth noting. In general, his interview was very enjoyable for this interviewer, and hopefully for the interviewee, too. Listen to hear for yourself about this wonderful man.
