“How you climb a mountain is more important than reaching the top.”
                                                ― Yvon Chouinard

The Process

First, students selected a community member to interview, then wrote a letter of invitation.

Next, each student wrote their own questions tailored to the person chosen, and conducted and recorded a formal face-to-face interview.  After, the interview was completed, students wrote thank you notes to participants, and overviews of their interviews.

These were published, along with their recorded interviews, here, on the "Stories Around the Lake" website they designed with the help of Christine Scales and Luke Murphy, students from the Cooperstown Graduate Program.

Finally, students shared their work at "Museum Night" at their school where the Cooperstown Community was highlighted.
